Vanilla Cupcakes with Swiss Buttercream






I asked the boys what they wanted to make and they wanted cupcakes. It isn't anyone's birthday nor is it a special occasion but we made them anyway. I figure cupcakes have just as much sugar as pastry, ice cream, or a sweet muffin. Cupcakes on a random day, just because? Why not. My decorating looks quite boring in comparison. Sage picked out yellow for the frosting.

Foccacia Bread with Dried Herbs and Sea Salt




Blueberry Muffins



These muffins were made with summer blueberries fresh from the Farmer's Market. To keep the blueberries a beautiful purple shade, coat them with flour before tossing them into the batter. This prevents them from turning greenish.

Chocolate Chunk Cookies




These cookies are loaded with goodies- bittersweet chocolate chunks, semisweet chocolate chips, Heath toffee bits, dried cranberries and walnuts
