Lemon Lime Pie

Sage requested Key Lime Pie for the holidays. I made this for Christmas dinner. I could not find any Key Limes out here in New Zealand so I used half lemon juice, half lime juice and lime zest. Thanks to Mom and Dad for bringing graham cracker crumbs for the crust all the way from Hawaii.

Gingerbread People

Dagan wanted to make gingerbread people to bring to his class shared lunch. We had lots of fun decorating them with Grandma. Dagan said they disappeared really fast.

Chocolate Swirly Buns

These buns turned out super soft with a buttery flavour and dark chocolate swirl running through them. They were fun to shape.

Midnight Brownies

Super dark, super moist, super chocolatey. That's how I love my brownies. This recipe is a winner.

Apple Pie

I had intended to make this dessert to celebrate Hillary Clinton's win. What could be more American than apple pie? But alas, things with the elections were not meant to be. However, the crust turned out extra flaky? Coincidence?

Zucchini Bread

Strawberry Shortcake

Jack O' Lantern and Jack Skellington Sugar Cookies

Thanks for the Halloween baking supplies Grandma and Grandpa! We put them to good use.

Rainbow Cupcakes

Ok, so mine didn't turn out looking like the recipe photos I was inspired by. The layers didn't stay neatly in straight lines but rather rose up like a tie dye tidal wave. But the kids loved them and they were for the Houghton Valley School fair bake sale, a burst of color on a cloudy day.
