Valentine's Day

We made special flavors just for Valentine's Day- Death by Chocolate, Chocolate Marshmallow, Vanilla Rose, and Chocolate Dipped Strawberry. Some popular flavors that were also available were Red Velvet, Salted Caramel, Cotton Candy and Mocha. Our cupcakes and macarons sold out!

In Memory of August

It is with a heavy heart that I remember all of the good times spent in the kitchen with my love, August. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, son and friend. He loved to cook gourmet meals for us and I would always make the desserts. He loved panna cotta and would always request it on his birthday. He also loved cheesecake, oatmeal cookies and French silk pie.

Dagan's Birthday S'mores Dog Cupcakes

Phil and Eric came all the way from San Francisco to visit us and help Dagan celebrate his 11th birthday. Dagan was born in the year of the dog. His favorite cupcake flavor is s'mores. It's usually only made in the shop on Saturdays but I special ordered it for him and all of his classmates.

Volunteering for the Girl Scouts 50th Anniversary

Bryan and I had a cookie and cupcake decorating table at the Girl Scouts 50th Anniversary event. There were around 7 groups of scouts of various ages who came by to add frosting and sprinkles to the sweets  for the holidays. They had as much fun decorating as they did eating their creations.

Christmas at Sugarlina

Krysteene was in the holiday spirit. We finished a giant order that morning for a Christmas party. Look at all the butters for frostings. My record was 13 batches of frosting in one morning!

The holidays came and went in a blur last year. It's only now that I'm catching up on my blogging and it's already February. I love holiday baking for parties, as gifts sent through the mail, and fresh out of the oven for my nearest and dearest. I tried some new recipes such as sweet potato haupia bars, courtesy of my friend Brooke, and old favorites such as snowball cookies.
