Piggy, bunny and hedgie buns filled with chocolate were so fun to make this week. First I made dough, let it rise and then cut it into pieces. I flattened each piece and placed 4 chocolate chips in the middle. I rolled the dough up into the animal shape and then used scissors to cut details on the bunnies and hedgies. For the piggies I rolled small pieces of dough for the ears and nose and used a chopstick to poke holes for the nostrils. I poked holes in the dough for the eyes and then pressed chocolate covered quinoa into them. Despite being pressed in pretty deep, some of them still rolled off during transport. The boys loved these for breakfast.
