The holidays went by in a frenzy. Wes and his family visited for Christmas. Work was very busy. So many holiday cakes! We went to parties, ate way too much, shopped like crazy and opened a ton of presents. I feel so grateful to have spent time with my favorite people, especially baking together.

I like my new job at Times Mililani as a pastry cook. Instead of making and decorating cupcakes everyday, I'm learning new cake decorating skills and making a variety of pastries. Some things we make/ decorate are cake pops, brownies, cakes, cream puffs, eclairs, cheesecakes and tarts. Here are pictures of a few.

These are some custom orders we received for the summer- baby shower, Vegas, and beach theme.

Tropical Crepes

The boys and I made these crepes for Grandma and Grandpa on Grandparent's Day. The coconut crepes are made with coconut milk, coconut extract and coconut oil. The toppings are haupia sauce, chopped walnuts, apple bananas, lilikoi (from our vine in the backyard), and nutella sauce.

Sage's Birthday Key Lime Pie

Sage loves key lime pie. When we lived in New Zealand I couldn't find key limes so I made a lemon lime pie instead. Now that we are in Hawaii I was going to make him the pie for his birthday and wondered if I would be able to find key limes. My mom and I were shopping at Safeway and just when we went to check out there was a bag of key limes sitting next to the register. What are the odds? I feel August had something to do with putting those there.
